Declining funding for a fully funded project

Congratulations on having a project fully funded on DonorsChoose.org! While we hope that you can still use the materials that you requested in your project, if you can’t (for example if you’re going on extended leave, you’re no longer teaching, or your classroom no longer needs any of the resources), you should decline funding.

If you decline the funding for your fully funded project, you won’t receive the materials you requested. We'll notify your donors so that they can choose how they'd like to reallocate their donation on DonorsChoose.org. If a donor you know personally gave to your project via the fundraising links in your account or your teacher page, we’ll send those donations to you automatically as a DonorsChoose.org gift code for your next project. If you decline funding, your account status/standing won’t be negatively affected.
