Starting September 1, projects focused on long-term school nutrition in select geographic areas will have the chance to receive a 2X match on new donations. This means, if selected, a $20 donation will be matched by $20 to become $40, and so on.
Projects will be custom evaluated for funding, and submitting a project does not guarantee receiving the match. However, projects must meet the below requirements in order to be considered for the match.
To be evaluated for funding:
-
Teach in one of the following counties or cities:
- Charlotte, North Carolina: Mecklenburg county
- Hanover, Pennsylvania: York and Adams counties
- Northwestern Arkansas: Benton and Washington counties
- Camden, New Jersey: Camden City
- Create a project requesting resources to support long-term school nutrition in your school, including food infrastructure, school gardens, nutrition or culinary education, out of school meal support, and/or school-wide pantries. Be sure to describe in your essay how the resources requested support and elevate school nutrition for your whole school.
If selected, the match offer will appear on your project page within 2 weeks of your project going live on DonorsChoose, and new donations will be matched for as long as funding is available.
