Update 11/18/2020: The Classroom Rewards form for this Classroom Rewards is no longer active, and new submissions will not be accepted. If you have already submitted your Classroom Rewards form, we will send you your gift code within the next two weeks! Huge thanks to our stellar teacher community for participating in this exciting opportunity.
Starting November 11, complete a reflection activity with your 2nd - 4th grade students and post on social media to challenge your fellow teachers to join you, and receive a $100 DonorsChoose gift code when you fill out the Classroom Rewards form, while funds last. The Compassion Project, from EVERFI, is a first-of-its-kind national initiative to provide compassion education to elementary school students across the US. Join us this fall for the National Compassion Challenge, a fun and easy way for teachers to build classroom community by helping students foster empathy and compassion for their classmates, even in a virtual environment.
How to qualify for the rewards
- Teach in a 2nd - 4th grade classroom.
- Ask your students to reflect on a time they felt empathy for a fellow classmate and share concrete steps they took (or will take) to show this person compassion. Students can:
- Write a short essay
- Draw a picture and write a caption (Try this optional worksheet)
- Submit a FlipGrid video
Please note, you will only be able to submit this form once. Our team is unable to make any changes or edits to your responses. Once you have submitted, you will not be able to retake the survey, and our team won't be able to re-open it for you.
Once we review and approve your Classroom Rewards form, we will send you your $100 DonorsChoose.org gift code. Expect to receive your gift code within 2 weeks of submitting the Classroom Rewards form.
