How does it work?
Starting November 11th, teachers can earn up to $200 in DonorsChoose gift codes by completing two separate activities with Google’s Applied Digital Skills program, and filling out two Classroom Rewards forms.
Part 1 - Earn $100 for learning about Google’s Applied Digital Skills program (no longer available as of 12/2/20)
Part 1 of this opportunity is no longer active as of 12/2/20. Part 2, listed below, is still available.
Part 2 - Earn $100 for teaching an Applied Digital Skills lesson in your classroom (no longer available as of 2/2/21)
- Complete the workshop outlined in part 1 of this Help Center.
- Create your Applied Digital Skills Instructor account or sign into your existing account
- You’ll need a Gmail/Google account to get started. (Don't have one? They're free and easy to create!)
- Select any Applied Digital Skills lesson to teach. We recommend a lesson from the following collections:
- College readiness Collection
- ELA Collection
- Social Studies Collection
- Support a Positive Learning Environment Collection
- Once you select the lesson, prepare to teach by reviewing the teaching materials for that lesson, such as the lesson plan and example projects.
- Follow the prompts to create a class, and share the class code with at least 15 students so they can join.
- Add the lesson you selected to your class and start teaching to 15 or more students! Teaching the lesson should take about 45-90 minutes
- Once your students have completed the lesson, take a screenshot of your Applied Digital Skills progress summary, showing that at least 15 students have completed 100% of the lesson.
- Fill out this Classroom Rewards form, where you’ll be asked to share the screenshot of the dashboard. Here’s an example of what your progress summary should look like:
Once we review and approve your Classroom Rewards form, we’ll send you your $100 DonorsChoose gift code, while funds last. Expect to receive your gift code within two weeks of submitting the form.
Please note, you will only be able to submit this form once. Our team is unable to make any changes or edits to your responses. Once you have submitted, you will not be able to retake the survey, and our team won't be able to re-open it for you.
