What kind of match?
Starting August 26th, all qualifying projects will receive either a 2X or a 3X match. That means a $20 donation will become a $40 or $60 donation.
If your project meets the criteria below, new donations on your project will be matched as long as funding remains. You will see the match offer applied to your project as soon as it is approved and live on the site. Please note, the match offer will not appear during Friends and Family Pre-Funding.
How to qualify for the 2X match offer:
- You teach in a San Diego County, California classroom.
- Create a project requesting STEM resources to help your students get hands-on science skills.
- Keep your total project goal under $1,000, including taxes, shipping, fees, and the suggested donation to support DonorsChoose.
- Select a subject area under Math & Science.
What won’t qualify:
- Projects requesting flexible seating are not eligible for this match offer.
- Teachers can receive a maximum of $3,000 from this funding opportunity.
How to qualify for the 3X match offer:
Teachers who teach in “high-pollution” areas can qualify for a 3X match in place of the 2X match.
- In addition to meeting all of the criteria of the 2X match, teach at one of the following schools or districts:
