Update 4/10/18: Funding for this opportunity is running low. We anticipate all funding will be applied to eligible projects within the next 2 weeks, so if you have a project idea in the works, submit as soon as possible for the best chance to receive matched donations!
Starting March 26, you can receive matched donations on a project requesting a Botley™ coding robot from Kaplan, thanks to support from Learning Resources. Aligned to CSTA and ISTE Technology Standards, Botley is the first classroom-appropriate early coding robot to be STEM Approved™ by STEM.org™. Botley is perfect for younger students who are just beginning to show an interest in coding and computer science — and Botley is completely screen-free! With Learning Resources, your project requesting Botley can come to life at half the cost with one-to-one matched donations.
Here’s how to qualify:
- Create a project requesting Botley bundle from Kaplan. You can find Botley in the Kaplan vendor store by searching for item number “142337.”
- You can request multiple Botley bundles, but make sure your total project goal (including shipping, taxes, and the suggested donation to support DonorsChoose.org) does not exceed $1,000.
- Don’t add any other resources to your cart for this project — if you need other things for your classroom, you’ll need to create a second project. Only projects with exclusively Botley bundles in the cart will qualify.
If your project meets the criteria above, you should see the match offer applied to your project as soon as it’s approved and live on the site (however, it won’t appear during Friends and Family Pre-funding). New donations will be matched one-to-one as long as funding remains.
