2X Match on tech projects at eligible schools, thanks to Verizon

As part of their Education Trade In Program, Verizon is matching donations to tech projects at schools where more than three-quarters of students are from low-income households starting on March 5.  Verizon is delighted to put more students on the path to success by putting much-needed technology, innovation, and access into their hands. Every donation made to eligible projects will be matched dollar-for-dollar with this 2X Match offer!

Here’s how to qualify:

  • More than three-quarters of your students are from low-income households, which means that 76% or more of your students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch.  See more about how we measure schools’ economic need.
  • Create a project requesting computers, laptops, tablets, or other instructional technology for your students.
  • Keep your total project goal under $2,000, including taxes, shipping, fees, and the suggested donation to support DonorsChoose.org.  Each teacher can access up to $3,000 in funding from this match offer, across as many projects as you like.
  • Select a subject under Math & Science.

 Create your project

If your project meets the criteria above, you should see the match offer applied to your project as soon as it’s approved and live on the site (however, it won’t appear during Friends and Family Pre-funding). New donations will be matched one-to-one as long as funding remains.
