Verizon is partnering with DonorsChoose.org to support public school classrooms across the United States! Verizon customers who pay their bill via the Verizon app and visit it from February 2-4, 2018 to receive a $10 DonorsChoose.org gift card to support a public school classroom.
Once you’ve received your DonorsChoose.org gift code via the Verizon app, follow these steps to apply the funding toward a classroom project of your choice before December 31, 2018. For each redeemed gift code, Verizon will donate an additional $10 to DonorsChoose.org to support urgent classroom projects across the country.
Here's how to redeem your $10 DonorsChoose.org gift code:
- Visit DonorsChoose.org/verizon
- Paste your code into the redemption box and click “redeem.”
- Choose any classroom project.
- Enter the total amount you’d like to give. If you’re redeeming 1 gift code, enter $10.
- Proceed through checkout and click “place my donation” to finalize your selection.
When and where can I receive a DonorsChoose.org gift code?
Access the VerizonUP app between February 2-4, 2018 to take advantage of this special offer. You’ll receive a $10 DonorsChoose.org gift code (from Verizon) to apply to a classroom project. Verizon will donate an additional $10 to DonorsChoose.org (up to $500,000) for each redemption.
That additional donation from Verizon will be used to support urgent classroom projects across the country.
When is my gift card valid until?
All DonorsChoose.org gift codes must be redeemed before December 31, 2018. After that date, the gift card is no longer valid.
Are there any restrictions on where I can apply my gift code?
Gift codes must be redeemed toward active classroom projects on DonorsChoose.org. Gift cards may not be redeemed toward account credits, purchasing additional gift cards, or projects in Friends and Family pre-funding.
The full amount of your gift card ($10) must be redeemed toward classroom projects at checkout.
Is my gift card tax-deductible?
Gift card redemptions are not tax deductible.
Donations made via credit card, Amazon Payment, PayPal, Apple Pay are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
