AppleCare can currently only be requested as a Special Request project; you will need 6 points to create this type of project. If you need to request AppleCare alongside another Apple product and are not eligible for a Special Request project, please contact us!
Note: to request AppleCare, please create a Special Request project and add AppleCare and your Apple device(s) to your project first, and then any additional products from our shopping portal after. See more about requesting items from both an outside vendor and our shopping portal.
To request AppleCare:
1. Email education_sales@bestbuy.com with the Apple device item number (SKU or BB number) and quantity of the Apple device(s) you would like, including the corresponding number of AppleCare protection plans, along with your school shipping address. Best Buy Education will prepare a quote and email it back to you. Please be sure that the quote they send:
- Is on vendor letterhead
- Includes itemized pricing, including a total cost
- Includes shipping and tax, if applicable
- Has a "pay by" or "valid until" date
2. Create a new project and scroll to the bottom of the WHAT page to click the link to create a Special Request before adding any other items to your cart:
3. On the Special Request page, click "This can't be purchased online." Fill out the information for your AppleCare request and upload the quote you received from Best Buy Education as the "vendor payment document."
4. Complete the rest of the project fields and submit. If you need to add items to this project from our shopping portal, please only do so after you've added the Special Request items (you will not be able to add regular items first).
