Frequently Asked Questions:
Q. What should I do if I’m new to DonorsChoose and have never done this before?
Create a Classroom Essentials list and request some items. Then, between January 12th and 18th, submit your first-ever project.
Q. Is my project eligible for this funding opportunity if I don’t have a Classroom Essentials list?
No. This funding opportunity is only available for teachers who have not yet posted a project but they have posted an Essentials list.
Q. What does it mean to submit and post a project?
When you have finished your project draft and clicked “submit” to send it to our team, this is when your project is considered submitted. If you’ve submitted a project and our team has approved it for funding, then your project has been posted.
Q: What’s the difference between a project and a Classroom Essentials list?
Classroom Essentials allows teachers to create lists from an inventory of basic classroom items, without an essay, project submission, or minimum materials cost. Projects give teachers more flexibility to select specific classroom materials from our partnered vendors.
