Starting August 27th, Samsung’s Solve for Tomorrow Contest will be open for public school teachers to apply.
How to qualify:
- Teach grades 6-8 at a school where 50% or more of students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch.
- Register for Samsung’s Solve for Tomorrow.
- Ensure your application describes how your students’ creative STEM ideas will help solve a challenge in their community.
- Apply to the Solve for Tomorrow campaign: https://www.samsung.com/us/solvefortomorrow/signin/
- Use the code DonorsChoose24 in the “referral code” section of the application for a chance to earn a $50 DonorsChoose gift code just for applying to the contest, while funds last!
Additional notes:
- The deadline to apply is Thursday, October 24, 2024.
- Gift codes will be sent by mid-December by the Samsung team.
- All public school teachers for grades 6-12 are eligible to apply for the Solve for Tomorrow Contest, but not all teachers are eligible for this gift code.

Who won’t qualify for the gift code:
- Previous applicants aren't eligible for the gift code if they have applied within the past three years.
- Teachers outside the grade range or at schools where less than 50% of students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch.
- Teachers who don’t qualify for the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow competition (e.g. elementary school teachers, private school teachers, etc.)
