The Thea Foundation is excited to provide Music & The Arts experiences for Arkansas classrooms! Selective funding is available for Kindergarten through 12th grade Arkansas projects requesting hands-on resources and experiences for Music and The Arts.
Here’s how to qualify:
- You teach at a public school in Arkansas for grades K-12.
- Select any of the subject areas in the “Music & The Arts” section: Music, Performing Arts, or Visual Arts
- High school grants are limited to arts instruction (studio and history) only. Middle school and elementary school grants can support both art-specific programming or the infusion of the arts into another subject.
- See below for total project goal guidelines per your grade level.
- Once you have created your project on DonorsChoose, email Nick Leopoulos at nick@theafoundation.org with a link to your project.
Below is the amount of funding that you may receive for your project based on the grade you teach:
- For high school teachers, keep your total project goal under $2,500 to be eligible for up to $1,250 in funding.
- For middle school teachers, keep your total project goal under $1,500 to be eligible for up to $750 in funding.
- For elementary school teachers, keep your total project goal under $1,000 to be eligible for up to $500 in funding.
How funding works:
- Projects will be selected and funded at the discretion of the Thea Foundation. The Thea Foundation team will be reviewing all submitted projects that meet the above criteria and will be selecting which ones will receive funding. Not all submitted projects will receive funding.
- A teacher is eligible to receive four Thea’s Art Closet grant per scholastic year: two during the first semester and two during the second semester.
