How does it work?
Starting August 12th, qualifying mental high school health projects will receive a one-time donation of $500 while funding lasts. One project per teacher can qualify for this opportunity.
If your project meets the criteria below, the one-time donation will appear once it is approved and live on the site.
How to qualify:
- Teach grades 9 - 12 at a public high school. (If you’ve never used DonorsChoose before, register at donorschoose.org/teachers)
- Create a project requesting materials to support student mental health
- Select the Mental Health subject area
What to know about this opportunity:
- $500 will be applied while funds last. Once no funding is remaining, we’ll update this page, and no new projects will receive a donation from Google.org.
- Only one project per teacher can qualify.
- Only teachers who did not benefit from Google’s high school mental health flash funding on August 12, 2024 can qualify.
- You can only have one account, and you must be the only person accessing your account and taking any action. See our Terms of Use for more details.
- You may need to verify your school email address once your project is fully funded.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: Can the project I created before August 12, 2024 qualify for this funding?
Only eligible projects posted after August 12, 2024 will receive this donation while funding lasts. If your project is already live, you can follow the instructions below to edit and resubmit your project if it’s eligible.
Q: How can I edit my live project?
If your project has not received any donations, you can make any edits by returning your project to a draft status. You can do this by heading over to the Projects section of your account and clicking on the "Return project to draft" button underneath your project title. Once your project is in draft status, you can make any edits and resubmit it. Then, it will be re-screened by our team and re-posted if eligible. Read more about editing your project.
Q: Will I qualify for this one-time donation if one of my projects was already fully funded by Google.org on August 12th?
A: Your projects will not be eligible for this one-time donation.
