404 Error when activating your account

Seeing an error message when you try to click your activation link? Something similar to

404 - File or directory not found. The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

An error message like this appears if you’re using an email client that stops you from accessing links we send your way. It’s most common with school email addresses, which usually have some strict security settings.

We know you’re eager to get your first project up and running. To make sure that you can activate your account and access all future emails from us, set-up a new account with a personal email address. Here’s how:

  1. Go to the Teacher Sign-Up page.
  2. Complete the steps needed to create an account. We know you’re a pro at this by now, so it hopefully shouldn’t take too long!
  3. When you’re prompted to enter your email address, enter a personal email (like one through Gmail, Hotmail, or Yahoo).
  4. Check your email. Your activation link--which should now be accessible!--is ready to go.
