Helping another teacher post a project on DonorsChoose is the ultimate pay-it-forward! Here are some tips on how you can encourage teachers to get on board with DonorsChoose:
- Spread the word – use this awesome outreach flyer to let teachers know about DonorsChoose. You can even put your name at the top in case anyone has questions and they don’t know who to go to. Share this link with teachers who are going to attend so they can set up an account ahead of time.
- Be prepared – make sure your audience has a project idea ready, and they have a classroom photo ready to upload so they can get started right away! Set aside some time to avoid distractions, and make sure you have access to a computer with internet.
- Walk them through the process – Check out our new teacher toolkit! You'll find a helpful video guide presentation, flyers, and fun printables.
- Follow up – keep in touch with the teachers you train and celebrate when their projects are funded. You can also join our teacher Facebook community to share the awesome work you’re doing and get ideas from fellow educators.
