Helping another teacher use

Helping another teacher post a project on is the ultimate pay-it-forward! Whether you are working one-on-one with a teacher, or doing large group training, we appreciate your time and dedication to get materials into as many classrooms as possible. Here are some tips on how you can encourage fellow teachers to get on board with

  • Spread the word – use this awesome outreach flier to let colleagues know about You can even put your name at the top in case anyone has questions and they don’t know who to go to.  Share this link with teachers who are going to attend so they can set up an account ahead of time.
  • Be prepared – make sure your audience has a project idea ready, and they have a classroom photo ready to upload so they can get started right away! Set aside some time to avoid distractions, and make sure you have access to a computer with internet.
  • Walk them through the process – our outreach slides provide an overview of our organization, as well as a step-by-step look at submitting a project. Feel free to edit this and make it your own. Spend the last half hour of your session helping your trainees create their own project.
  • Follow up – keep in touch with the teachers you train and celebrate when their projects are funded.  You can also join our teacher Facebook community to share the awesome work you’re doing and get ideas from fellow educators.
