Ever wonder how projects get posted on DonorsChoose? Before every classroom project is posted and publicly searchable on DonorsChoose, trained teacher volunteers screen the project. These teacher volunteers verify that the teacher and the project meet our eligibility requirements, and follow-up with any questions or concerns.
When a project is funded, DonorsChoose purchases the materials from the vendor and has them shipped directly to the school.
After the materials are received, teachers provide feedback to donors, called a thank-you package. They share an impact letter describing how the materials were used, digital photos of the project in action (shared with donors), and student thank-yous (mailed to donors who are eligible to request them).
