The DonorsChoose team may deactivate a teacher account to help protect the integrity of our website. Below are some of the reasons your teacher account may be deactivated
- Inactivity (no login) for 2 or more years
- Non-confirmation of projects or missing thank-you package elements
- You made a request to deactivate your account
- You manually closed your teacher account
- We need more details about your role to determine if you meet our eligibility criteria, or if we’ve determined you don’t meet our eligibility criteria
- Any violation of our user agreement
Deactivated accounts will no longer be able to post projects, receive donations, or get emails regarding teacher initiatives.
If DonorsChoose manually deactivates your account, we'll try to contact you by email and/or phone to discuss next steps and determine if your teacher account can be reactivated. If your account has been deactivated and you believe there has been an error, please let us know! You can contact our team, and we'll be happy to work with you to figure out the issue.
