Projects should be submitted for the current school year, though you are welcome to submit a virtual trip project over the summer for the coming school year if you confirm the following:
- You're teaching at the same school in the fall.
- You know exactly how many students will participate, or the cost isn't dependent on the number of students. DonorsChoose can't cover an increase in cost due to additional participants.
- The trip takes place between 2 and 8 months from the date you create the project. This is our year-round guideline for trip timelines and ensures there's enough time the project to seek funding that you and your students can provide prompt follow-up for donors.

Please note: out of an abundance of care for the safety of our teachers and students, starting Wednesday, May 27th, 2020, DonorsChoose will not support trip and visitor projects with in-person or travel components until at least Spring 2021. Check out our help center for more details.
