Starting October 2nd, qualifying projects will receive a one-time donation.
If your project meets the criteria below, a one-time donation will be applied to your project as long as funding remains. You will see the donation applied to your project as soon as it is approved and live on the site.
How to qualify:
- Teach in Sarasota County School District, Florida
- Create a project using campaign code “HURRICANEIAN”
- In your project essay, make sure you write about how your students, who are still recovering from Hurricane Ian, will benefit from this project to advance their learning and improve their well-being. Include how many students will be supported.
- Request about $950 in materials to keep your total project goal under $1,200.

For a project to be eligible to receive the Sarasota donation, the total project goal must be under $1,200, which is about $950 in materials. If your project’s total goal (including all fees) is over $1,200, then you will not receive the one-time donation on your project.
