We welcome projects for the National Board for Professional Teaching as a Special Request.
Project Submission Window: For the 2026-2027 cycle, teachers must submit their projects on or before December 28, 2026. Any projects submitted on or after December 29, 2026 will not be eligible to receive funding.

Acceptable Payment Documents: A screenshot of the teacher’s NBPTS payment portal, reflecting the components they’re registering for. The teacher should use their NBPTS ID as the invoice number.

Each Component and the registration fee should be listed as separate line items while creating your project. This means that each Component, along with the registration, should be individually added with its own Quantity, Description, Unit Cost, and screenshot/payment document.

- NBPTS projects should be submitted as a Professional Development Special Request Project
- Teachers will need to directly pay for the $75 registration fee, which can be reimbursed, though this fee can be included on their project. Payments for Components/ MOC will be sent to the National Board directly.
Once payment has been issued, it can take 2 full weeks for NBPTS to process and apply our payment to their NBPTS account. Teachers should monitor their Payment Portal with the NBPTS.
