The DonorsChoose Teacher Ambassador Program is a group of experienced teachers that serve as DonorsChoose experts in their schools & communities. The primary goal of a Teacher Ambassador is to help new teachers get started on DonorsChoose and to mentor teachers at their school in creating successful classroom projects.
Teacher Ambassadors also help spread the word about funding opportunities, help our team improve the teacher experience on our site, and build a DonorsChoose community at their school and beyond.
How are Teacher Ambassadors selected?
Teacher Ambassadors are selected by the DonorsChoose team based on their experience creating and funding projects on DonorsChoose, completing thank you packages, and cultivating a community of classrooms supporters. Teacher Ambassadors often have a proven track record of helping new teachers get started using the Refer-a-Teacher Tool.
How can I become a part of the DonorsChoose Teacher Ambassador Program?
The DonorsChoose Teacher Ambassador Program is an invitation-to-apply program and we do not have an open application. If you are interested in applying to become a DonorsChoose Teacher Ambassador in the future, you can complete the interest form here. In addition, start off your advocacy work (and show how strong of a candidate you are) by spreading the word to new teachers using the Refer-a-Teacher program and the Teacher Tools page.
